The University of Alabama’s Community Service Center is teaming up with the Career Center for the second semester of the Non-Profit Protégé Program. The Non-Profit Protégé program is an eight-week experience that allows UA students to walk in the shoes of a non-profit administrator/CEO in Tuscaloosa. A limited number of students will be selected to work with an organization leader. Students are required to be of at least sophomore standing at The University of Alabama by Spring of 2012 and have a minimum 2.5 cumulative GPA. A detailed application is due no later than Tuesday, Feb. 14, 2012 by 5 p.m. to the Community Service Center, room 346 in the Ferguson Center.

Learn the basics of three different resources to promote your area on the web: Adobe Contribute allows you to edit your web content easily from your personal computer. The Student Affairs Utility Suite allows you to post news, events and photos which can be utilized by other departments or put on the Student Affairs website. Google analytics helps you understand your audience and what they are visiting on your site. LUNAFEST is a national film festival that takes place during Women's History Month, in March, that serves as a fundraiser for breast cancer research and The Women's Resource Center. LUNAFEST will be held March 20, 2012 at the Bama Theatre in downtown Tuscaloosa and will include a silent auction. Volunteers are needed to plan and coordinate the event.
